OTHER TYPES OF SERVICES
 
Learning Center- offers one-credit courses to help students with educational planning, learning strategies, and career exploration.  They also provide assistance with reading, math, and studing skills.

Writing Center- provides one on one tutoring and word processing at no charge.  The writing center is open to all students, faculty, and staff for assistance in writing.

Career Services- offers career counseling by helping students with resume writing, interview etiquette, job 
searching, and assessing career interests.

Financial Aid- offers financial information and counseling to all student attending IUP.  The types of financial
assistance offered are student employment, educational loans, and grants.

Advising and Testing- offers career planning and computer assisted career counseling; conducts registration for January freshman and branch campus students; processes undergraduate total 
university withdrawals; and serves the needs of students with disabilities

Speech and Hearing Clinic- offers diagnosis of speech problems, hearing tests and evaluations, and a regular program of therapy.

IUP Student Organizations- There are a variety of groups, organizations and programs available at IUP.  They can challenge your decision-making, achieve personal and professional goals, 
increase your level of satisfaction, and sense of accomplishment.

COE Mentoring Project-  a program involving undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty of IUP mentoring minority students. The aim is to provide educational assistance, help 
students adjust to campus life, and in for them of the services and facilities at IUP.

Counseling and Student Development Center- provides counseling services and student development programs.  The center offers confidential counseling and consultation on an individual and small group basis.  The development programs include summer orientation for parents, orientation for entering students, six o' clock series, and various other projects.

Veterans Affairs- certifies enrollment for undergraduate and graduate students who may be eligible for veterans assistance.
