Getting Admitted to the ACE Program
Admissions Requirements:
- Must have graduated from an accredited undergraduate institution with a 2.6 GPA or higher (out of4.0)
- Achieve a minimum score of 47 on the Miller Analogy Test if you have a GPA of less than 2.6
- Apply online to IUP School of Graduate Studies and Research
- Submit official transcripts from all institutions of higher education that they have attended
- Send two letters of recommendation
- Submit a current resume
International Student Requirements
In addition to fulfilling the general application procedure, international applicants must:
- Present evidence of fluency in English.
- If your native language is not English, you must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and earn a minimum score of 500.
- Complete a Foreign Student Financial Statement (included in the application packet).
- Submit official foreign transcripts and official English translations.

After You Have Submitted Your Paperwork
Once you have submitted all the required forms and paperwork to the Graduate School, the file is sent to the ACE Department for review. Prospective students may be asked by the department to submit a writing sample or to come in for an interview.
The ACE department has a rolling admissions policy; you may start any semester in either the Master of Arts in Adult Education and Communications Technology or the Master of Arts in Adult and Community Education tracks at Indiana.
Monroeville Program
The Master of Arts in Adult and Community Education in Monroeville has a two-year cycle of classes. The next cohort in Monroeville begins in September, 2005.
