Application information and an on-line application form can be obtained by accessing the School of Graduate Studies and Research website or by contacting them at: Stright Hall, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA 15705, (724) 357-2222.

The minimum requirement for admission to the Graduate School of Research
and the AECT Department is graduation from an accredited undergraduate
institution of higher education with a minimum of a 2.6 (out of 4.0) grade

If you have been out of school for more than five years, the minimum GPA is 2.4. In addition to the other requirements in the Graduate School and Research application packet, prospective students are required to submit official transcripts from all institutions of higher education they have attended, two letters of recommendation, and a current resume.

The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is not required for admission. The Miller Analogy test (MAT) is required for prospective students who have less than a 2.6 undergraduate grade point average. A minimum score of 47 is required on the MAT. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for all international students whose native language is not English. A minimum score of 530 is required on the TOEFL.

After a prospective student has submitted all the required forms and paperwork to the GSR, the file is sent to the Adult and Community Education Department for review. Prospective students may be asked by the department to submit a writing sample or to come in for an interview. The AECT program has an open admissions policy; students may start in any semester.
