Since IUP is a state-owned institution, graduate credits are more affordable here than at state-related and private colleges and universities. Fees for candidates vary based on whether they are Pennsylvania or out-of-state residents.
For example, tuition and fees for the three-year ALS program at IUP
cost approximately $23,320 for Pennsylvania residents and $35,560 for
those who reside out-of-state. During a typical semester as a part-time
graduate student (six credits), tuition and fees for Pennsylvania
residents are approximately $2,332 and $3,560 for those who reside
out-of-state.
When compared to state-owned colleges in Pennsylvania, IUP's tuition and fees are approximately $12,000 less. A similar doctoral program at a private college or university is approximately $30,000 more.
For additional information about tuition please contact the universities' Office of the Bursar located in Clark Hall.
One-Time Program Fee: There is a program fee of $1,300 which is collected and assessed to cover program evaluation expenses, dinners, speakers, the retreat, associated clerical fees, processing expenses, and supplies.
This is a one-time, non-refundable fee and payable upon entrance to the ALS program.
