Radio Station

The radio station at IUP, WIUP-FM, is a 1600-watt, non-commercial, student operated facility. Students from a variety of majors volunteer as DJs and news and sports staff. There are also many opportunities for students to host a variety of different types of music shows. 

  • The recently remodeled and upgraded digital studio home of WIUP-FM, run exclusively by touch-screen controlled digital audio board.
     
  • State-of-the-art
    equipment includes digital
    playback and record features, a satellite receiver, digital engine and voice processing equipment that powers student programs over the airwaves. 
  • The radio station offers a great opportunity for students to develop professional broadcasting skills.

  • The station is also a recognized campus activity and over 100 students from numerous majors are currently involved on a daily basis.
