History
Kappa Delta Pi,
International Honor Society in Education, was founded on March 8, 1911
at the University of Illinois. The organization was formed to recognize
excellence in education. Kappa Delta Pi invites members who exhibit the
ideals of scholarship, individuals who have high personal standards,
and those that show promise in teaching and other allied professions.
Kappa Delta Pi is comprised of the top 20% of those entering the field
of education, as well as practicing educators. There are approximately
56,000 members in 550 university, college, alumni, and affiliate
chapters in the United States and abroad. If you would like to find out
