IUP Membership
To become a member of Kappa Delta Pi, all
candidates must meet certain qualifications. All candidates must be
education majors having (1) an overall GPA of 3.25 based upon (2) at
least 12 IUP credits. One must (3) have a commitment to the field of
education, and (4) pursue active participation. In order to be
considered for Kappa Delta Pi membership, you MUST attend three
mandatory events:
1. Information Meeting
2. Commitment Meeting
3. Initiation Ceremony
Requirements for the Beta Gamma Chapter include:
* Participate in at least 4 hours of student-related community
service.
* Attend 2 scheduled teaching
workshops
* Attend 1 Sunday meeting
* Attend 1 Dean's advisory meeting
* Publicity -- hanging signs
around campus
* Chapter Service -- varies from semester to semester.
* Attend 2 social events with the Beta Gamma Chapter.
* Fundraising
