The 12th Annual
Pennsylvania National Association of Multicultural Educators (PA-NAME)
Conference is gearing up to be an extraordinary event. This year’s
conference theme: “A Renewed Multicultural Agenda Toward Achieving an
Equitable Society,” imparts the vision and on-going mission of NAME which
supports the belief that multicultural education promotes equity for all,
regardless of culture, ethnicity, race, class, language, age, gender, sexual
orientation, disability, or religion; and recognizes that individuals have
not always been, and perhaps never will be, in complete agreement regarding
the definitions and goals of multicultural education and that continuing
debate is healthy.
