Figure 5.1 How do I write text in my portfolio
page?
-
First you must open up a web editor
such as Netscape composer or Microsoft FrontPage.
-
Once it is loaded, go to the file menu
and select Open.
-
Locate your portfolio folder.
-
Select the page that you want to work
on. (If you want to work on your resume page, select resume; if you
want to work on your transcripts, choose trans, etc.)
-
It is best to start out on the index
page because it is your home page.
Whether you are working in Netscape
Composer or Microsoft FrontPage, writing text is very easy. Once your page
is opened, all you have to do is start typing . This works
very much like a Word Document.
Use the tool bar for the following
options:
-
File to open, save, and print
-
Edit to copy, paste and select
items
-
Insert pictures, files, and
hyperlinks
-
Format font, paragraph,
background, and bullets
-
Tools for Spell check
-
Table to Insert a table, row,
or column
*As you can see in Figure 2.1, the tool
bars for Composer and FrontPage are very similar.
