Welcome to Survival Spanish!

This is an interactive tutorial that will teach you all the Spanish skills you need to know while touring a Spanish speaking country.

Spanish, or español, is a romance language that evolved from Latin.  Spanish is one of the several national languages of Spain . It is the official language of twenty nations in North, Central, and South America. Spanish is spoken on the African continent in

Ceuta, Melilla, Morocco, and Equatorial Guinea. In Asia, Spanish has a historical presence in the Philippines.  There are twenty-five countries in the world who speak Spanish either as an official

language or as a primary language.

You will surprised to know that Spanish is the fourth most spoken language in the world.  It is spoken by over 360 million people.

The study of Spanish offers learners the opportunity to communicate, to learn, and to function appropriately in Hispanic communities.  Being able to speak even a little bit will provide you with more opportunities as you travel abroad to Spanish-speaking countries.
