The Electronic Portfolio Project began as an experimental project and has greatly evolved over the several years given changes in technology, staffing interests/abilities, and the objectives of the College of Education and Educational Technology.  In ascending order:

Conversion of the website to an informational site allowing motivated readers to develop electronic files to be published to CD-Rom’s.  Underwritten by Dr. Lamberski.

Transfer of Front Page 2000 version to an experimental version on WebCT.  Underwritten by Dr. Lamberski.

Conversion of the Website from Front Page 98 to Front Page 2000.  Experimentation in on-line account generation, archiving, and file management parameters.  Attempts to procure scale-up funds from national publishers.  Underwritten by Dr. Lamberski, Dr. Jalongo, and Dr. Piwinsky.

Design of project concept from existing literature.  Development of Front Page 98 version with portfolio example.  Researching and writing of primary text.  Piloting and continual improvements during spring.  Initial underwriting by Dr. Piwinsky (Provost Grant).


In closing, over the life of the project other individuals have shared their opinions.  With thanks to Brad Smith, Kevin Painter, and Ralph Grove.  Appreciation is also expressed to the many student volunteers who served as pilot subjects.  Lastly, appreciation is extended to Dean John Butzow for his continuing encouragement and patience during experimentation.
