New Faculty Computers for
2005-2006
The following faculty computers will be
replaced during
2005-2006 ( $760 per computer provided by the Provost and
$200 by
the College):
We configure and order each faculty computer individually, based on
their specific needs. A typical faculty computer configuration
includes: Dell Optiplex GX280 computer (3 GHz Pentium processor,
512 MB RAM, CD/DVD reader-CD burner, 80 GB hard drive, Windows XP Pro,
Microsoft Office 2003 Pro, and other software as needed). Laptop
computers can be ordered instead of desktop computers when needed.
Note that the university
policy is to replace faculty computers every three years, and the used
faculty
computers are then available to assign to student workers and part-time
faculty
within the College.
