| Indiana University of Pennsylvania has implemented a wireless network standard and is now deploying wireless network service in various locations. Wireless Networking gives IUP laptop users and hand-held (PDA) users advanced mobility, ease of collaboration, and the ability to access the University's network and the Internet in areas where traditional wired network installations may be impractical.
The College of Education and Educational Technology has
purchased and installed wireless access points in strategic locations
in both Davis
Hall and Stouffer
Hall (click on the name of the hall to see a drawing that shows
the
approximate coverage in the building). Other locations at IUP that
currently
have wireless access can be found at Data
Communication Services. To use the IUP wireless network, you will need the following:

You will need to configure your laptop or hand-held (PDA) so
that it will access the wireless network and also connect to IUP's
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Server in order to access the IUP
