


Dan Sprumont is a sophomore majoring in Communications Media. Not only is he a WIUP-FM disc jockey, but he also works on three television shows for WIUP-TV. These include an analyst position on The Big Hit sports talk show, news anchor for NewsCenter20, and a producer for the BINGE comedy show. Dan is also the right side hitter for the IUP Men's Club volleyball team. In the future, he hopes to retire early and ferment his own wine while living in a lavish home near a country club.
Mike Psenick is a true humanitarian with a passion for the arts. In his free time, he enjoys a glass of chardonnay and classical music while browsing the works of Rembrandt and the like. As chairman of
Psenick Plastics Inc., Mike’s net worth is nearing the 4-billion dollar mark, however he still makes time for the occasional backyard barbeque. Mike’s charities include: The Psenick Home for the Anemic, Do-Rag the Homeless, The Psenick Home for Orphaned Cats and the Psenick Shelter of Free Chinese Cuisine (featuring cat). Mike’s true lust for broadcasting came when he was only 12 and used to receive beatings next to the AM transistor radio chained to the heater in the basement. From that day on, the name “Psenick” has been synonymous with “radio” and “hepatitis.”
Terry Davies is a Graphic design major. He loves to play guitar. He loves any kind of music except for Rap and Country. His favorite band is Tool. He loves dogs more than people. He sleeps more than any human should.
Kendra Reith is a junior Communications Media major and Journalism minor. She is the producer for Modern Mayhem. She is also involved in WIUP-TV and National Broadcasting Society. She likes almost any kind of music and her favorite band is New Found Glory. She isn’t
quite sure what she wants to be when she grows up.
Jonnee Tonsel is the producer for “The Underground”. She is a junior at IUP with a Communications Media Major and an Economics Minor.“I have been apart of the station since my freshmen year of college. I joined the station because I LOVE music and I thought it would be a great way to put myself out there while gaining experience for my major.”
Jordan Baxter is a senior studying Communications Media.
“I have chosen to be in Radio because it has given me an opportunity to be more creative and innovative with my production work”
Essence Hampton – Thompson is a junior with a Communications Major.

Earnest Easter is a senior with a Communications Media major and Journalism minor.
“I joined WIUP-FM because I love how I can just be myself and not worry bout anyone telling me different. I love music, so when people call in I love to entertain them and show them a good time. Music change people mood, when someone is sad, I will like to make them feel happy by playing their favorite song.”
Barry Wade is a junior, studying Communications Media
“I really wanted to join WIUP-FM because it was always a wish of mines to be on radio and having a show, and I love communicating.”
Levar Mills is a freshman, with a Communication Media major.
“I wanted to be apart of WIUP'S radio station because I wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes of radio stations, get experience doing something new and different while at the same time giving it how you want it and don't have to flaunt it. But enough with all the nice answers the REAL REASON is this campus is dead, nothing exciting is going on about it besides beer pong, and it could use a little flavor so if I could at least make an effort (whether it works or not) to leave some type of legacy here for other communication majors to follow while at the same time obtaining more students at IUP for a little reason as a popular radio station then I will do so, Hey you never know SKY IS THE LIMIT BABY!!!! veezy...I think I should run for president with that speech!!!!”
Chris Maust is Freshman at IUP.

Apris Walker is a freshman with a Communications Media major.
“I wanted to be apart of the radio station because after my schooling here I would like to become either a radio or television broadcaster. I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to gain knowledge in this field and to also obtain some experience.”
Summer Jewel Burke is a junior with a Communication Media major and Journalism minor.

Shaneice Grobes aka “China Doll” is a senior in Communications Media.
“The reason why I wanted to be apart of the WIUP-FM radio station is to be apart of an organization that will help prepare and give me with the experience I need to have a successful career in the radio industry. Being a new DJ I want to acquire a new audience for the station and gain all the knowledge and skills I need to be the best at what I do.”
Mateen "J.Rich" Richardson is a sophomore studying Commutations Media.
“I wanted to be a part of the radio station because I Love music. I love all kinds of music. Many radio stations, in my opinion are not worth listening to because they don’t play songs I like to hear. I figured if I become the DJ, I can play whatever I want. Also, being that I am a recording artist, I can play my joints, so listen out for me!”
Kenyetta Kitchens aka “Lady Mystique” is a junior with a Management of Information Systems major and Marketing minor.
“I was interested in being apart of the radio station because I felt that it was a way not only to entertain students and do something I enjoy, but to acquire a number of valuable skills such as public speaking and managing technology, that I can take with me into the workforce.”
Allison Abey is a sophomore studying Business.
“I wanted to be a part of the radio station because I love music. Anything that has music involved is something that I would probably love to do. Another reason for wanted to a radio show is that I was hoping it would help me personally grow and not be so shy. Plus, I thought it would be fun to be a part of a radio station.”
Stella Stratigos is sophomore pursuing a dual major: Communications Media and Spanish.
Crystle Smith is a senior pursuing a dual major: Communications and Journalism.
“I have been a member of WIUP FM for a year, and I love it! The first night I stepped into the studio I felt at home. Working on the Underground has helped me realize that I am not only in the right major, but I am working on a career in one of the best industries. Unlike other activities on campus, WIUP allows me to be me, by expressing myself the only way I know how, through music.”
